Larken Associates, a Hillsborough-based commercial real estate developer, announced Thursday that it has acquired apartment community in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.The 62-unit West End Village, located at 1306 West Lehigh St., is closely located to Lehigh University, Morovian College and St. Luke’s Hospital.
With this new acquisition, Larken has expanded its Lehigh Valley apartment portfolio to more than 600 units, including The Hills at Lehigh, The Meadows at Lehigh, Waters Edge, River Walk, East Hills Townhomes at Bethlehem and West End Village.
“Bethlehem has proven to be a magnet for residents looking to take advantage of the school system, dining and entertainment, and universities that are all nearby,” David Gardner, COO and president of Larken, said in a prepared statement. “All our properties have occupancy rates in the high 90 percent because it draws residents from so many different demographics looking to live and enjoy the diversity of the area.”
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
