The Mint Ribbon Cutting, Jan. 17, 2020. – CAHN COMMUNICATIONS
Leasing is now officially underway at The Mint, 116 luxury rental residences in downtown Rahway.
The distinctive five-story building features a collection of studios, one- and two-bedroom homes with spacious floorplans, open and bright living areas. Located at 81 Monroe St., residents are offered a commuter-friendly location that is steps from New Jersey Transit’s Rahway station—the only allowing travelers access to both the Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast routes.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the building was held on Jan. 17 attended by Rahway Mayor Raymond Giacobbe, fellow municipal officials and principals of joint-venture development partners Fields Grade and the Slokker Group.
“The Mint reflects the evolution of Rahway into a vibrant residential destination,” said Nils Berten, vice president of The Slokker Group. “This is a walkable urban setting with a growing list of restaurants, shops, theaters, seasonal markets and more in its downtown district, with suburban elements like scenic parks scattered throughout. It’s easily commutable to New York City in just 45 minutes by train, as well as Edison, New Brunswick and the Jersey Shore. We’re excited to now introduce a new modern living option to the mix.”
Residents of the Mint will have numerous amenities in the building from a lobby with transit screen and communal work space, to a residents-only clubroom, a lounge with a billiards table and work cubes, fully-equipped fitness center with yoga room and fitness on demand, and a dog wash room. It also offers an outdoor space provided by a second-floor, landscaped deck with a swimming pool, BBQ area and fire pit. There is even covered parking and 6,000 square-feet of supportive retail space.
The Mint was designed by architect Minno Wasko.
