Levin Management Corp. started construction on a new warehouse at the Rutgers Industrial Center last May. Now, with work still underway on the development, the Plainfield-based firm says it has found a tenant for the 30,000-square-foot space.
Electronics manufacturer RCF USA signed a full-building lease for the property located at 101 Circle Drive N. in Piscataway, LMC announced Feb. 23.
The transaction, LMC said, underscores the sustained demand for quality industrial space in the state.
Anticipated to make the move to the six-building, 570,000-square-foot Rutgers Industrial Center this summer – a property for which LMC serves as asset manager – RCF is relocating and expanding from its current spot in Edison. Cushman & Wakefield Executive Vice Chair Charles Fern served as landlord broker in negotiating the long-term transaction, while Executive Managing Director Jason Barton represented the tenant.
101 Circle Drive N. features:
“Not only is our existing Edison space too small and outdated, but we are sharing the building with other tenants,” said RCF USA Vice President of Strategic Sales and Operations Justin Brock in a prepared statement. “The move to 101 Circle Drive N. gives us our own building with plenty of room to expand and grow over time, along with superior highway access. We have been looking for new warehouse space for a long time and couldn’t find the right fit; 101 Circle Drive N. checked every box.”
According to LMC, the company, whose products are manufactured in Italy, already maintains a second warehouse location in Piscataway.
The Rutgers Industrial Center offers easy access to Interstate 287 and is 5 miles from Exit 10 of the New Jersey Turnpike, with nearby access to commuter rail service, Newark Liberty International Airport, Manhattan, and the Garden State’s seaports.
