Life Assets LLC said it will bring a new apartment building with 17 two-bedroom units to the City of Elizabeth.
The privately held full-service development and real estate investment firm unveiled the project coming to 308 – 310 W. Jersey St. on Jan. 13.
On Jan. 6, Life Assets received unanimous preliminary and final site plan approval for the project. The Springfield-based firm said it worked with architect James Guerra and the law firm of Hehl & Hehl during the approval process.
Construction is expected to begin this fall and to last approximately 24 months. The Elmora Hills property was acquired in August 2020.
“Since acquiring this property, we have made sure to listen to the needs and characteristics of the neighborhood,” Life Assets President and Chief Executive Officer Alberto Goncalves said. “This project has been a long road. We envisioned a property that not only fit the characteristics of the neighborhood, but served as a beautiful addition.”
The five-story building will include a community room, fitness center, touchless building entry, EV charging stations and 26 ground-floor parking spots.
“This new mid-rise building will add character to the already rich neighborhood.” said Dr. Kamran Tasharofi, a co-developer in the project.
