National employment and labor law firm Littler Mendelson PC elevated Lauren Marcus to shareholder at its office in Newark.

Marcus is one of 28 attorneys elevated nationwide across Littler, which has more than 1,500 attorneys across 80 offices globally.
“Lauren is a skilled practitioner with deep subject-matter knowledge, strong leadership skills and a dedication to client service,” said Peter Ajalat and Russell McEwan, Newark co-office managing shareholders, in a statement.
Marcus represents employers in a wide range of employment law matters in both New Jersey and New York. She focuses her practice on leaves of absence and accommodations, as well as nationwide paid sick leave; and regularly counsels clients on day-to-day concerns such as wage and hour questions and handbooks and policies.
She has defended employers in state and federal court and before governmental agencies in matters regarding Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the American with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act and similar state and local laws.
