South Korean consumer electronics manufacturer LG Electronics has named K.I. Kwon president of the LG Electronics USA Consumer Electronics Division.South Korean consumer electronics manufacturer LG Electronics has named K.I. Kwon as its new president of the LG Electronics USA Consumer Electronics Division. Kwon was most recently vice president of LG Electronics Digital Display Division North America. Based in the company”s Englewood Cliffs headquarters, Kwon will be responsible for the overall management and direction of the consumer electronics, commercial products and information technology businesses. “K.I. Kwon has extensive experience in digital display and digital media products as well as with the LG brand in North America and globally, making him the ideal candidate for this position,” said Michael Ahn, president and CEO of LG Electronics North America. Kwon replaces J.M. Lee, who is leading LG”s mobile phone initiatives in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States that includes Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and the Ukraine.
