The centers expect to enroll an initial 100,000 asylum-seeking refugees for the countryÂs Department of Home Affairs Refugee Program, according to BIO-key. The company says the Biotech/BIO-key system will enable refugees to register with the South African government using identifiers, such as fingerprints and photographs, as part of their application for seeking asylum in the country.
