Wall-based BIO-key International and Biometric Technologies South Africa will supply refugee centers in South Africa with fingerprintWall-based BIO-key International, a developer of identification solutions for both the private sector and governments, and its partner Biometric Technologies South Africa will supply several refugee centers in South Africa with fingerprint identification systems. The centers expect to enroll an initial 100,000 asylum-seeking refugees for the country’s Department of Home Affairs Refugee Program, according to BIO-key. The company says the Biotech/BIO-key system will enable refugees to register with the South African government using identifiers, such as fingerprints and photographs, as part of their application for seeking asylum in the country.
