Marotta Controls on Friday announced that Lockheed Martin has selected the Montville-based technology company to develop multiple power conversion units for the Long-Range Anti-Ship Missile.The LRASM’s, which are precision-guided anti-ship standoff missiles, are being developed by Lockheed a joint program with the Department of the Navy, the U.S. Air Force and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
Under the agreement, Marotta will provide Lockheed with qualification and Engineering, Manufacturing and Development units.
“This is a significant program win for Marotta Controls,” Michael Leahan, senior vice president of business development and chief sales officer at Marotta Controls, said in a prepared statement. “This award is a reflection of our commitment to ensure our customers’ success. We are committed to achieve our customers’ objectives on this important program and have a dedicated world-class technical team focused on every aspect of program execution. We are honored to work with Lockheed Martin, one of the worlds’ most respected defense companies, on this next-generation missile program.”
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
