Louis Berger, a Morristown-based engineering and consulting firm, announced Tuesday that it has created a new unit focused on turnkey power generation and distribution solutions.The company said in a news release that its new limited liability corporation, Louis Berger Power LLC, will be led by Frank Jordano, a 10-year veteran of the company who most recently served as senior vice president of the global operations energy systems business unit and managed Louis Berger’s $1 billion-plus infrastructure rehabilitation program for the U.S. government.

“Within the turnkey power market, we not only plan and design power facilities, we construct and operate them as well,” Jordano said in the release. “By establishing an LLC, we are able to provide flexibility for the financing and investment capital required in this specialized segment of the power market while continuing to leverage the global reach and local expertise of the broader Louis Berger corporation.”
Louis Berger said the Power company will focus on areas where quick, immediate or remote power is required, including emerging and frontier markets, small islands and remote sites. It would provide complete power solutions, from design to installation to operations, the company said.
