Lowenstein Sandler added new senior management to adjust to an industry-wide shift toward professionalizing the C-Suite, the Roseland-based firm announced Tuesday.
Victor Barkalov is now the firm’s chief innovation and information officer, Kevin Iredell is the firm’s new chief marketing officer, and Mikhail Makarovsky is the firm’s first director of pricing and profitability.
“Ensuring the multifaceted skill set of our senior-level executives is an integral part of Lowenstein’s mission to constantly improve and maintain an upward trajectory,” said Chief Operating Officer Joseph Palermo in a statement. “The transformational thinking and collective business acumen of Victor, Kevin, and Mikhail, working in tandem with our other C-suite members Chief Financial Officer William Farrell, and Chief Human Resources Officer Donatella Verrico, create a management powerhouse dedicated to innovation overall and to integrating technology and other business disciplines into the practice of law.”
Barkalov joins the firm from Jackson Lewis PC in White Plains, N.Y., where he was CIO and chief digital officer. He will oversee Lowenstein’s technology, data security, knowledge management, and legal research strategy and execution.
Iredell was the director of business development at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP in New York and previous to that led the marketing research and measurement group at public relations firm Greentarget.
Makarovsky previously served as director of pricing at Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP in New York, and is an accredited legal pricing professional. He partners with firm leadership to design and implement strategies geared to ensure profitable delivery of legal services.
