Mack-Cali Realty Corp., an Edison-based real estate investment trust, announced today that The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Ltd., a subsidiary of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, has signed a 100,274-square-foot expansion lease at Harborside Financial Center, in Jersey City, bringing the bank’s total leased space to 261,957 square feet.
The expansion lease is for space at the 725,600-square-foot Harborside Plaza 3, and is for 17 years and three months.
Harborside Financial Center is comprised of five class A office buildings totaling 3.1 million square feet, along with retail and dining locations. Mack-Cali said the complex is 97.3 percent leased.
Cushman & Wakefield represented the bank in the transaction. Financial terms were not disclosed.
In a news release announcing the deal, Mitchell E. Hersh, Mack-Cali president and CEO, said the deal “demonstrates our ability to build long-term relationships with leading global businesses.”
