MajescoMastek, the North American unit of publicly held software company Mastek Ltd., has appointed William S. McCarter as its president. The Edison-based company, which had $156 million in sales last year, specializes in insurance industry software. McCarter brings expertise in technology for insurance companies and financial institutions, two industries the company is trying to build clients in. “McCarter brings strong business leadership capabilities as well as technology and domain expertise in the insurance and financial services sectors to MajescoMastek,” Ram said. “Having worked with Mastek, he understands our culture and capabilities very well, and is extremely confident in our ability to grow our business significantly over the next few years.”
