On April 4, MCCC President Jianping Wave and Drexel Online President Susan Aldrige signed a Letter of Understanding at MCCC campus in West Windsor, affording eligible participants a 40 percent discount on Drexel online courses.
The discounts are available to MCCC students, alumni, employees, board members and immediate family members. The courses may be put toward bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees, in addition to graduate- and undergraduate-level certificates.
“We feel this gives people in your community the opportunity to stay at work and stay in your community with their families,” Aldridge said in a prepared statement, highlighting the swath of learners the courses are available to.
Drexel will offer over 160 classes under the arrangement.
Wang characterized the move as removing a hurdle for students. “They now [have] greater access to educational opportunities, a quality education, that is affordable,” she said in a release. “At Mercer, we want education to work for our students and for their future employers. That’s our goal.”
