A Lakewood supplier of savory flavors and broth concentrates was acquired by McCormick & Company Incorporated for approximately $63 million, the global flavor company announced.McCormick, a Maryland-based company with $4.2 billion in annual sales, said Monday in a news release that it has acquired 100 percent of the shares of privately held Brand Aromatics.
Brand Aromatics has 40 employees and provides savory products to the packaged food industry from its headquarters, research & development facility, manufacturing facility and distribution center in Lakewood.
“Brand Aromatics is a great addition to McCormick’s industrial business,” Alan Wilson, McCormick’s chairman and CEO, said in a prepared statement. “We are currently a leading supplier to packaged food companies and leading restaurants, and this acquisition extends the value-added flavor solutions we provide to stocks, marinades and other savory products.
“We look forward to working with the employees of Brand Aromatics to build sales and further strengthen our customer intimacy.”
