One of the biggest names in fast food is expanding its delivery options.
McDonald’s in the tri-state area announced a partnership with Grubhub Thursday which includes 160 New Jersey locations and approximately 320 other locations in Connecticut and New York.
The partnership will include a direct point-of-sales integration and will utilize Grubhub’s “Just in Time” technology, which allows restaurant operators to match order fulfillment with drivers to get food delivered as fresh as possible.
The service, dubbed McDelivery, launched in 2017 with Uber Eats and has since expanded to other platforms in different regions of the country.
McDelivery is expected to be a $4 billion business globally in 2019.
