With the end of the year just around the corner, Benjamin Moore & Co. revealed its pick for Color of the Year 2023 – a saturated, red-orange hue called Raspberry Blush.
In an Oct. 12 press release, the Montvale-based paint, color and coatings brand announced its selection, as well as the seven other statement shades included in its Color Trends 2023 palette.
The palette features: Conch Shell 052, Wenge AF-180, Cinnamon 2174-20, New Age 1444, Starry Night Blue 2067-20, North Sea Green 2053-30, Savannah Green 2150-30 and Raspberry Blush 2008-30.
Andrea Magno, the company’s director of color marketing & development, said, “People are ready to bring color back into the home, taking a step outside their color comfort zones.”
The palette, she said, encourages designers and homeowners to use bold colors “to influence dramatic transformations” that are reflective of their individuality and personal style.
To celebrate this year’s selections, Benjamin Moore enlisted electro-funk duo Chromeo to create a new song called Raspberry Blush “to underscore the beat and optimistic tone of the palette and the dynamic role color plays in self-expression, like music.”
The company also released eight curated Spotify playlists “that reflect the personality and spirit of each hue” in the palette.
