Receiving the legislative awards are state Sens. Jeff Van Drew (D-Cape May Court House) and Kevin O’Toole (R-Wayne) and Assembly members Gary Schaer (D-Passaic) and Caroline Casagrande (R-Freehold).

According to the Chamber, selections were based on the legislators’ “voting records, bill sponsorships, committee votes and their overall history of supporting economic growth.”

The Chamber will also give out three Business Advocacy Awards, to Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno, state Department of Labor and Workforce Development Commissioner Harold Wirths and PNC Bank New Jersey Regional President Linda Bowden.

“The honorees were selected because each has taken substantive action to improve the state’s economic climate and make sure New Jersey takes full advantage of its many assets,” said Chamber President Tom Bracken. “New Jersey faces many challenges and we are fortunate to have individuals such as these advocating on behalf of economic growth.

“Through their individual and bipartisan efforts in the areas of fiscal integrity and responsibility, tax reform and red tape reform, our award winners are ensuring the Garden State’s competitive future.”

The reception, which will be held at the New Jersey Center of Excellence in Bridgewater, will begin at 6 p.m.
