The New Jersey Chamber of Commerce’s annual “Walk to Washington” will begin Tuesday, roughly two months after a heavy snowstorm postponed the two-day networking event. The event, now in its 77th year, features a chartered Amtrak train for politicians and members of the business community from points in New Jersey to Washington, D.C., with stops along the way in Philadelphia and Wilmington. While in Washington, guests will attend events and a dinner which will be keynoted by Gov. Chris Christie at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel.
The Chamber estimates 900 guests will attend the dinner. CSPAN will carry Christie’s speech live, starting at 7:15 p.m.
U.S. Reps. Rush Holt and Chris Smith are also scheduled to speak.
