NAI James E. Hanson said May 19 that Scott Perkins and Christopher Todd’s industrial sales and leasing team is expanding with the hiring of Dena Scott as an associate and the addition of current NAI Hanson Associate William Ericksen.
Operating in the hyper-competitive northern New Jersey industrial market, Team Perkins & Todd is widely respected as one of the region’s top leasing and sales teams.
Since joining NAI James E. Hanson in 2013, Todd was paired with Perkins and, in that time, the pair has negotiated 70 industrial sales and leases spanning 2.8-million square feet and $273 million in value.
Team Perkins & Todd have earned the trust of leading institutional real estate investors such as CenterPoint Properties, Blackstone, Terreno and Duke Realty, as well as dozens of businesses searching for space in the market. The additions of Scott and Ericksen to the team will bolster client services capabilities to ensure the team can continue to work closely with the diverse range of investors and businesses with real estate needs in the market.
Scott joins NAI James E. Hanson after 12 years at Newmark, where she worked across teams dedicated to leasing, acquisition and disposition transactions for office, retail and industrial clients. During her time with Newmark, Scott cultivated extensive experience in locations research, reports generation and commission processing while also contributing significantly to business development efforts. Scott also boasts deep experience in creating marketing presentations and data studies that will be leveraged to effectively showcase NAI James E. Hanson’s wide range of landlord and tenant services to drive client engagement.
Joining NAI James E. Hanson in 2019, Ericksen gained valuable experience working on a team with Joshua Levering where he specialized in office leasing and sales. The move to Team Perkins & Todd will enable Ericksen to leverage his knowledge of the commercial real estate transaction process, translating and building upon his skill set as he transitions in industrial sales and leasing. Ericksen holds the Argus Enterprise Certification and is currently pursuing a Certified Commercial Investment Membership (CCIM).
Perkins and Todd’s experience in closing industrial deals across northern New Jersey is highlighted by their success in closing a complex sale-leaseback of a 102,000-square-foot industrial building at 66-96 E. Union Ave. in East Rutherford in late 2020 that helped Duke Realty expand its presence in the competitive market. Over the last several years, Perkins and Todd have also been instrumental in the sales of a 208,000-square-foot industrial building at 200 Maltese Drive in Totowa and an 8.25-acre development site at 349-369 First St. in Elizabeth, as well as the sale and lease of a 110,000-square-foot industrial facility at 7300 W. Side Ave. in North Bergen.
