A New Jersey producer and supplier of mulch and other organic waste-based products is expanding into Pennsylvania, it announced Tuesday.Britton Industries, which is based in Lawrenceville with an additional facility in Hamilton, says it is expanding through the opening of a Philadelphia location.

“This purchase is an integral part of Britton’s commitment to our region and our customers, a commitment to continue to provide sustainable solutions to the challenges of managing organic waste and a commitment to our customers – to listen to their needs and expand into locations beneficial to them and their businesses,” Jim Britton, owner and CEO, said in a news release.

“Adding Philadelphia enables us to address those needs by providing another convenient location to drop off a load of concrete, source a dumpster for their jobsite or stop by to pick up a load of mulch or screened topsoil.”
