Two new thrill rides will make their debut on Atlantic City’s historic Steel Pier within the next three years, according to Baltimore-based ride manufacturer Premier Rides.
One of the new attractions will be a spinning wild mouse-style coaster, which are known for singular cars that travel winding tracks with tight turns and sharp drops. During the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions expo in Orlando, Fla., Nov. 17, Premier President Jim Seay announced that the ride is expected to open in 2024.
The second attraction, a Sky Rocket II model rollercoaster, will welcome riders the following year, Seay said. Although it can vary depending on park location, the 55-second ride typically exceeds speed of 60 miles an hour and features a large drop and inversion.
Premier did not yet announce branding names for the new rides nor exact opening dates.
Premier and Steel Pier did not immediately respond to requests for comment by press time.
