Newman joins Frier Levitt as partner

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Charles Newman joined Frier Levitt as partner in the firm’s health care department, the firm announced Jan. 10.

He joins the firm from Sills Cummis & Gross PC where he was of counsel in the firm’s health care group.

Newman has more than three decades of experience in transactional matters with a focus on the health care industry. His clients include management services organizations, health systems, medical groups, ambulatory surgical centers and other provider entities.

“Charlie combines his legal experience with a keen understanding of clients’ businesses and objectives,” said Daniel Frier, co-founder of Frier Levitt LLC and chairman of the firm’s health care department. “He will be instrumental to the continued growth of our health care department. We are thrilled to have him join our firm.”

Newman advises health care clients on purchases and sales of practices including those involving private equity, large networks, and hospitals; mergers and acquisitions; joint ventures and affiliations; corporate governance; employment contracts; shareholder agreements and operating agreements; managed care contracting; medical billing and practice management agreements and real estate.

Additionally, he advises clients on complex legal and regulatory compliance issues, such as ACA, Stark and corresponding state self-referral laws, Federal and State Anti-Kickback laws, and HIPAA.  [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
