For the third consecutive year, Newsweek published its list of the “World’s Best Hospitals,” using global data to identify the top 2,000 hospitals across 25 countries. The global hospitals ranked in the list’s top 200 are from a range of countries, but the top three are based in the U.S.: The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.; the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio; and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, in that order.
Cracking the global top 200 are two from New Jersey: Morristown Medical Center in Morristown and Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack.
Delving further into the list, three more from New Jersey ranked among the Best 250 Hospitals in U.S.: Valley Hospital in Ridgewood at No. 132; Overlook Medical Center in Summit at No. 164 and Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark at No. 233. Morristown Medical Center and Hackensack University Medical Center were ranked at No. 34 and No. 43, respectively, on the U.S. list.
Newsweek created the World’s Best Hospital listings in partnership with Statista Inc., a data-research firm.
