Scotch Porter founder Calvin Quallis has been tapped for a feature in Target’s national Black Beyond Measure campaign, where it will shine the spotlight on black-owned businesses carried in its stores.
Scotch Porter, a skin and hair product company focused on cross-cultural men underserved by the personal care market, just landed on Target shelves last month. Quallis started the brand from his kitchen in Newark four years ago, and by July 2019 the business had grown to operate out of a 10,000-square-foot space in East Orange.
In the new campaign, Target is amplifying successful stories of both black-owned businesses and Target team members in honor of Black History Month. Quallis called inclusion in the campaign “an honor.”
“At the heart of the Scotch Porter brand is a responsibility to make people feel their best by providing healthier and affordable solutions to those whose problems are often under-served or unresolved,” Quallis said. “It is my hope that our mission and story inspires future generations to go above and beyond in utilizing their gifts to impart change of their own.”
