Product innovation in New Jersey shined at the Product of the Year USA awards on Friday, with New Jersey companies scoring eight out of 36 awards based on a national study of 40,000
consumers by research firm Kantar.
All three of the winning companies are based in Parsippany.
Consumer health and hygiene company Reckitt Benckiser nabbed three Product of the Year awards with its air freshener Air Wick Essential Mist and dish care products Finish Max-in-1 Powerball and Finish Jet Dry booster.

Ascensia Diabetes Care nabbed one for its Contour Next One Smart Meter and App System, a blood glucose monitor.
For Tic Tac Gum and Kinder Joy, and Butterfinger and Black Forest Gummy Bears under its recently-acquired Ferrera arm, Ferrero USA Inc. nabbed four awards.
