The group will be known as the New Jersey Elder Law Center at Mandelbaum Salsburg and will operate from the firm headquarters in Roseland, Mandelbaum said on Monday.
Eric Goldberg, founder and principal of the NJELC, will join Mandelbaum Salsburg as member. He and Richard Miller, an elder law attorney at Mandelbaum, will lead the new NJELC at Mandelbaum Salsburg group as co-chairs.
In a statement, Goldberg said the two practices complement each other, and that the move will provide clients of both firms mutual benefits.
“Our elder law clients will now get an expanded services lineup through a revolutionary practice model that will ensure that our clients continue to receive the highest quality legal services to address their elder law needs by a staff that has more than a half a century of experience,” Goldberg said in a prepared statement.
In addition to gaining the practice, the firm said that Clelia Pergola – an NJBIZ 2019 Best 50 Women in Business Award winner – who joins the firm from NJELC, will serve as chief strategy officer for Mandelbaum. She will also serve as the executive director of NJELC at Mandelbaum Salsburg.
“We are excited to have the NJELC team join Mandelbaum Salsburg as we will now be able to offer our elder law clients a unique elder law experience, combining the boutique feel and philosophy of the NJELC with the full-service platform at Mandelbaum Salsburg,” said Chief Executive Officer William Barrett in a prepared statement.
