Walmart announced on Thursday that associates in New Jersey will be awarded cash bonuses valued at approximately $2.5 million for 2018 fourth quarter performance.
The company said that more than 912,000 of its employees across the nation will receive a share of nearly $207 million, as the company experienced 4.2 percent fourth quarter comp sales growth.
“Walmart continues identifying new ways to invest in our associates, who truly represent the foundation of our company’s success, “said Glen Spencer, Walmart’s regional general manager in New Jersey, in a release. “Our people make all the difference for us, and we appreciate and value their hard work and dedication.”
Walmart said quarterly bonuses are part of an overall incentive plan designed to reward associates whose stores achieve sales and customer service goals. Both full- and part-time associates are eligible for cash bonuses based on store performance.
