With the COVID-19 pandemic changing the way New Jerseyans live, work and play, commercial real estate developers are looking for ways to give residents what they need. As one of the state’s leaders in multifamily residential developments, Russo Development is at the forefront of the trend.
Chief Operating Officer Michael Pembroke, joined NJBIZ Editor Jeff Kanige to talk about how the firm is meeting the challenges and the real estate market in general for this week’s edition of NJBIZ Conversations. Pembroke says tenants are seeking different kinds of amenities these days.
“It’s not just, ‘hey, it’s a club room, looks great, I’ll use it the first day I move in … I can actually be active here,'” he explains. “Outdoor spaces are equally as important, that’s why on a 40-acre development, we’re 35 units an acre. we can offer a lot of that outdoor space and the future phases are going to have even more of it.” Watch the entire interview here.
