The explosive growth of e-commerce during the COVID-19 pandemic has been well-documented, along with its effects on the commercial real estate market. Of course, that growth has also been good for … e-commerce companies. Amazon.com Inc. is the most prominent example, given the extent of the company’s service and its hiring and investments in New Jersey.
Of course, there’s more to the industry than Amazon, even in this state. Take, for example, PartsiD Inc. The Cranbury-based company sells auto parts online and has reported impressive revenue growth over the past couple of years. In the latest edition of NJBIZ Conversations, Editor Jeff Kanige spoke with PartsiD CEO Nino Ciappina about a range of topics, including the company’s growth, its expansion into other verticals and the kinds of people who work on cars these days.
“Our core consumer really is an enthusiast,” he said. “So this is the consumer who really has a passion for accessorizing the look and feel of their vehicle, improving the speed and performance of their vehicle. Our core consumer typically is like a blue collar hands on DIY person.”
