The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities approved Monday a $937,199 energy efficiency incentive for Mack-Cali Realty Corp. under New Jersey Large Energy Users Program within New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program.
The board says the funds will be used for energy conservation measures in nine locations across New Jersey, which will save an estimated $358,112 in energy costs and 3.4 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually.
According to NJBPU, the proposed projects will cost $1.7 million total, with Mack-Cali funding the difference between the incentive granted and the total cost. The upgrades fall into four major categories: five HVAC system retrofits; one HVAC fan system retrofit; two curtain wall insulation applications; and one LED lighting retrofit.
The energy conservation upgrades will occur at: 333 Thornall St. in Edison; 111 River St. in Hoboken; 581 Main St. in Woodbridge; Plaza ll-lll Harborside in Jersey City; Wood Hollow Road in Parsippany; 101 JFK Parkway in Short Hills; Plaza IV-A Harborside in Jersey City; Plaza V Harborside in Jersey City; and 101 Hudson St. in Jersey City.
