“ReFraming” will examine how and what assumptions limit solutions for social problems, and how to broaden perspectives to allow for a convergence of approaches to find new opportunities across disciplines including the arts, technology, entertainment and design.
Speakers at the event will include John Keegan of the Edison Foundation; Donald Sebastian, CEO, NJII; Charles Rosen, founder, Jersey Cider Works; Marjorie Perry, CEO, MZM Construction in Newark; and Laran Craig, director of marketing and artistic initiatives, Newark Arts Council.
Jazlyn Carbajal, co-founder, Latinas in STEM; Gernot Riether, faculty member, NJIT College of Architecture and Design; Carolyn Murnick, author of The Hot One; Grace Ibitamuno, student, RWJ Medical School; Mohamed Bendary, student, NJIT; and Brandon George of the Indiana Addiction Issues Coalition will be featured as well.
The independently organized, TED-licensed event will also be available to viewers via a live simulcast.
