The New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program Inc. announced that it has impacted New Jersey manufacturers by approximately $3.1 billion through the various programs and services it offers.The not-for-profit also said in a prepared statement those offerings have allowed Garden State manufacturers to retain or create more than 27,000 jobs for the state’s economy.
The $3.1 billion value was realized through:
- $2.3 billion in increased and retained sales;
- $347.6 million in cost savings;
- $529.5 million in investments.
The data of NJMEP’s impact from 2000 to the beginning of 2016 was collected from an independent third party, NJMEP said.
