Along with BioNJ, the HealthCare Institute of New Jersey is an important voice on behalf of the state pharmaceutical industry. And both voices will be sought even more as the effort to eradicate COVID-19 heads into the final, most critical phase. Paranicas oversees HINJ, which represents research-based biopharmaceutical and medical technology industry. That membership includes many of the world’s largest as well as smaller, growing companies.

Dean Paranicas
HINJ strives to raise awareness, understanding and public support for the state’s life sciences industry, expand patient access to the medical innovations our member companies produce, and promote awareness of the life sciences industry’s economic impact in New Jersey. It’s an industry that the world will be watching.
Before joining HINJ, Paranicas was vice president, corporate secretary and public policy for Becton Dickinson, now known as BD (see Tom Polen, above.) So Paranicas has the background for his role.
