NYC pizza chain Artichoke Basille’s sets grand opening for 3rd NJ shop

New York City pizza chain Artichoke Basille’s Pizza will open its third New Jersey location in Jersey City on Feb. 18 at 12 p.m.

Artichoke Basille’s Pizza is located at 246 Bay St. in Jersey City and is the third of five franchised stores slated to debut across New Jersey as part of a 2018 deal with franchisees Premal and Leela Shanghvi.

The opening comes ahead of schedule from earlier expectations: In January, the brand announced the location would open in the spring.

The new location of Artichoke Basille’s will offer a deal for the first 100 customers that includes two pizza slices, a drink, and an Artichoke t-shirt for $25. One-fifth of all sales on Grand Opening day will be donated to the Jersey City Free Public Library.

Artichoke Basille’s Pizza was founded in 2008 by cousins Francis Garcia and Sal Basille. Their pizza has been recognized by The Rachael Ray Show, Fox & Friends, The Nick Cannon Show, late night TV shows, and two of their own Cooking Channel series, Pizza Masters and Pizza Cuz.

Artichoke Basille’s Pizza currently operates 16 locations nationwide in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Arizona and California.
