Following up on legislation passed earlier in 2011, acting Gov. Kim Guadagno announced Friday the Department of State launched a one-stop website for nonprofits.
The site, www.nonprofit.nj.gov, developed with input from the Center for Non-Profits and the Pro Bono Partnership, offers easily accessible links for registering a nonprofit, establishing tax requirements and grant information.
“New Jersey’s nonprofit organizations provide vital services across a range of areas,” said Guadagno, also secretary of state, in the announcement. “To help nonprofits fulfill their mission, it makes sense to assemble this information in one convenient place.”
Information about federal and other non-government agencies with nonprofit resources also is available on the site. The “one-stop” format already has been applied to both business and employment websites launched by the state.
