OpenTable ranks 4 NJ restaurants among the US’s most romantic

New Jersey is home to four of the most romantic restaurants in the nation, according to a new ranking from online reservation platform OpenTable.
Released just in time for Valentine’s Day, this year’s list of 100 establishments includes the following local spots:
- 618 – Freehold
- Chart House Restaurant – Weehawken
- Tisha’s – Cape May
- Washington Inn – Cape May
Compiled annually, the ranking represents establishments from across the country, according to OpenTable.
This year’s list – which was developed based on reviews from 13 million diners – includes restaurants from 27 states. California led the list with 13 restaurants, followed by Arizona with nine restaurants and Florida and Hawaii with eight each.
While more than 20 different cuisines are spotlighted, diners equate romance with steakhouses (19% of the list), followed by seafood (18%), American (17%) and Italian (9%), OpenTable found.
