Jessica Gonzalez has joined the cannabis practice at Bressler Amery & Ross PC in Florham Park.

Gonzalez is outside general counsel for Minorities For Medical Marijuana, an advocacy organization for minority equity in the medical cannabis industry. She also sits on the Federal Policy Committee for the Minority Cannabis Business Association and on the board of advisors for QA Canna, a cannabis quality assurance company that assists companies and investors in the understanding and implementation of systems that ensure they’re following best practices and meeting current and future compliance requirements.

Gonzalez joins from Moyeno Gonzalez & Associates PC, which she co-founded in Hoboken.

Gonzalez helps clients navigate the legal cannabis and hemp industry in the tri-state area. Her clients include start-up and medium-sized cannabis companies, who she works with on matters including corporate entity set-up, state and local compliance, private offering documents and applications for state cannabis licenses. She counsels corporate and individual clients on intellectual property procurement, prosecution, protection and enforcement for domestic and international trademarks.

In her advocacy work, Gonzalez has presented at the municipal and state level on social justice and social equity, IP protection, cannabis legislation, state and federal banking and state cannabis licensing.
