Technology outsourcing firm iGate Corp. will open its first New Jersey headquarters in Bridgewater under a lease signed with SJP Properties, the developer said Thursday. The NASDAQ-listed consulting firm has signed a long-term deal to occupy 13,000 square feet at Somerset Corporate Center I, the firm said in a news release. The Parsippany-based landlord expects iGate to open its headquarters in the second quarter.
SJP also will build out the company’s space within the building, which is one of five in the 1.5-million-square-foot complex along Route 22 and Route 202/206.
The developer was represented in-house, while iGate was represented by CBRE Vice President Ron Volk, the release said.
Pittsburgh-based iGate, which outsources information technology services, has offices around the country and worldwide, including India.
The lease follows SJP’s deal in December with Valeant Pharmaceuticals International. The Canadian company signed a 310,000-square-foot, full-building lease at Somerset Corporate Center IV as part of a U.S. consolidation with its recently acquired Bausch & Lomb subsidiary.
Steven J. Pozycki, CEO of SJP Properties, said in a prepared statement that the iGate and Valeant deals “clearly demonstrate this property’s appeal to specialized business and technology firms.”
