The senior management of Paragon will continue running the company under a new name–the Boston Operations of Overwatch.Overwatch Systems has completed the acquisition of Paragon Imaging, a supplier of image-processing software for defense and commercial uses. Paragon, based in Woburn, Massachusetts, has been renamed the Boston Operations of Overwatch.
The senior management of Paragon, which was founded in 1987, will continue running the company under the new name. They plan to invest a portion of the proceeds from the sale of their company back into Overwatch Systems. Morristown-based Overwatch declined to disclose the dollar value of the transaction.
The Boston Operations will report to Kirk Brown, president of Overwatch Geospatial Operations based in Sterling, Virginia. “Paragon Imaging enables us to offer our customers an imagery-analysis product line that spans from the strategic analyst to the tactical field user,Â said Brown.
Paragon”s Electronic Light Table (ELT) series commercial image-processing software is widely used among tactical analysts in the U.S Air Force, the Naval Special Ops Warfare Command and the Defense Intelligence Agency.
