Byalik joined the firm’s litigation practice in 2009. She focuses on complex commercial and general civil litigation.
Her clients include individuals and large businesses and she has experience in all aspects of commercial and business disputes, including breach of contract claims, torts and disparagement actions, consumer fraud, false advertising, shareholder disputes, oppressed minority shareholder actions, actions for breach of non-competition and non-solicitation agreements and breach of fiduciary duty claims.
Byalik has argued before both state and federal appellate courts. Before joining Pashman Stein, she was an associate at Latham & Watkins LLP in New York.
Smuro joined Pashman Stein’s family law group in 2018. He represents clients in all phases of litigation, arbitration and mediation. His experience includes matters including divorce, child custody, alimony, child support, equitable distribution of diversified business interests and assets, and domestic violence issues.
He’s also a qualified family law mediator and has successfully argued before the Appellate Division.
