Fiduciary Trust International brings on head of family office services, foundations, & endowments
Paul Cummings has joined Fiduciary Trust International as its new head of family office services, foundations, and endowments, based in its New York City office.
Cummings is a veteran in the family office and wealth management communities and has served as a trusted advisor to families and nonprofit organizations for over 15 years. In this newly created role at Fiduciary Trust, Cummings will work with experienced professionals across the organization to manage and continue strengthening the suite of comprehensive services specifically designed for the unique needs of these clients.
Fiduciary Trust International was established 90 years ago by families for families, combining the personalized service of a boutique wealth manager with the extensive resources that come with being part of a leading global investment firm. The organization’s advisors deliver wealth planning, investment management, trust, estate, and family office services as part of a holistic offering, enabling them to understand the complete financial picture of a family or institution from a multi-generational perspective.
Since the firm’s founding, Fiduciary Trust has developed deep expertise and experienced professionals supporting and guiding family offices, foundations, and endowments. Cummings will continue to support the firm’s vision by collaborating with family advisors and consultants to build a comprehensive suite of family office services in place. He will report to President and COO Lawrence Sternkopf, and help families, foundations, and endowments achieve their long-term goals through personalized services and solutions.
Cummings joins Fiduciary Trust International from Abbot Downing, a business of Wells Fargo, where he served as regional managing director for the Northeast, and was responsible for relationship management, client service, risk management, and team member development. While at Abbot Downing, he was a member of the operating, management, pricing, and investment committees governing the national business.
Cummings graduated from St. Lawrence University with a Bachelor of Arts in history, and completed accounting and strategy courses in the MBA program at St. John’s University. He has also received his certification in trust investment management from the New York Bankers Association, and serves on the Historical Society of Pennsylvania’s board of councilors.
