Pharmaceutical company expands footprint in Hillsborough

A pharmaceutical tenant is widening its presence in Somerset County to occupy a total 4,218 square feet at the Hillsborough Business Center.

Larken Associates announced the 1,500-square-foot lease expansion for NanoTech Pharma Inc. Feb. 7.

Located one block from Route 206, the approximately 596,000-square-foot Hillsborough Business Center also offers easy access to Routes 1 and 22 in addition to Interstates 78 and 287. According to the commercial and residential real estate company, that’s allowed NanoTech to reach its customers quickly. The flexibility of the complex – which offers units ranging from 288 square feet to 40,000 square feet – has also served to meet the needs of the growing firm, Larken said.

NanoTech Pharma has been a tenant at the complex located on Stryker Lane in Hillsborough since 2019.

The pre-clinical stage specialty drug delivery company works on the nanomedicine development of biological and small molecules that deploy its proprietary drug delivery platforms of liposome, nanocrystal, albumin-bound nanoparticle and microsphere. Its pipeline includes innovative and patented nanomedicine for oncology, serious infections and cardiovascular disease, among others.

The Hillsborough Business Center has also grown recently. Last January, Larken hit 100% occupancy on two buildings at the complex after they had each been expanded by 9,000 square feet. Other tenants have also taken advantage of the flexibility of the center by expanding their footprints and last summer the company secured nearly 9,000 square feet in agreements for the 27-building property.
