According to the survey, the indexes for current general activity fell from its readings in May and also ones seen at the beginning of the year, but has remained positive and continued to reflect growth.
The indexes for future new orders and shipments were mixed, with the future new orders index decreased this month while the future shipments index was unchanged from May.
Firms also reported an increase in manufacturing employment, but the current employment index fell slightly. The index has, however, remained positive for the past seven months.
The survey said the diffusion index for prices has barely changed, but more firms have reported increases in their own products this month.
