Around the State – North JerseyNEWARK ÂApprentice winner Randal Pinkett and his consulting firm BCT Partners have something new to offer clients besides a connection to Donald Trump: a licensing agreement with Alexandria, Va.-based Plexus Scientific.
Pinkett and his colleagues signed a one-year deal to sell Plexus proprietary Visual Performance Suite (VPS), a software package that helps managers track the performance of their departments, to BCTÂs client companies. The percentage of VPS sales that BCT will receive was not disclosed.
VPS has been sold exclusively to the federal government since it launched in 2002. The software has helped quantify the effectiveness of programs run by the military, the National Institutes of Health and the U.S. Department of Education, says Michael Reingruber, a division manager at Plexus.
He says PinkettÂs firm wants to get into the federal sector, while Plexus is eager to enter the state government and commercial markets Âwhere most of their clients reside.Â
ÂItÂs a really great way to cross-fertilize our customer bases, says Reingruber.
