Smorgasburg lovers needn’t cross the river any longer: Its first New Jersey outpost opens in Jersey City on May 29.

The weekly food festival will occur at Harborside, a 4.3 million-square-foot Mack-Cali Corp. office campus reimagination.

Smorgasburg attracts tens of thousands of visitors each weekend to its other locations in New York City and the Harborside location is expected to be a strong draw to the community, according to Mack-Cali.

Smorgasburg launched in Williamsburg, Brooklyn in 2011 with 60 vendors and has grown to 100 vendors at two other New York City locations. Smorgasburg Harborside is the festival’s second outpost out of the city after opening Smorgasburg Los Angelos in 2016. Smorgasburg LA remains closed due to the pandemic.
