Porzio Bromberg & Newman PC expanded its business law practice, chaired by Principal Pamela Kapsimalis, the firm announced on May 20.
The business law group provides counseling and corporate transactional support to all types and sizes of businesses, concentrating on middle-market businesses based in New Jersey, Delaware and New York.
The team is comprised of former in-house counsel and attorneys with master’s degrees in corporate, finance and tax law, each of whom has an understanding of complex financial, tax, securities, real estate, lending, and other legal issues related to company growth strategies.
“Over the past three years, we have invested our time in working to understand the unique needs of our middle market clients,” said Kapsimalis in a prepared statement. “We work with businesses to help them leverage their current legal capacity by serving as an extension of their team. We add value by providing access to the firm’s attorneys who have legal expertise in key areas and then creating an effective team to assist with outside general counsel needs.”
“By collaborating with Porzio Bromberg & Newman‘s employment, bankruptcy, wealth preservation, commercial real estate and litigation teams, we can provide optimal solutions for the business needs of our clients. We also have a unique affiliation with Porzio Compliance Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Porzio, Bromberg & Newman, in providing investigative and security compliance services to complement our outside counsel services,” Kapsimalis said.
Members include Robert Ferri, Cheryl Santaniello, Carmen Andrade, Keren Bisnauth, Jonathan King and Sean Reid, each of whom brings a wealth of experience and expertise in industries such as corporate transactions, tax, commercial real estate, lending, construction, franchising, retail, environmental and warehousing.
“By leveraging the experience and rich background of these attorneys, this team is prepared to elevate the delivery of legal and business solutions to middle-market companies in the region,” said Vito Gagliardi Jr., managing principal of Porzio and president of the firm’s three wholly-owned subsidiaries in a prepared statement. “Complex legal issues require smart, practical solutions, and these attorneys are positioned to help businesses coordinate their needs to align with the full scope of resources that Porzio has to offer.”
