Primark to open another NJ store this summer

As part of its ongoing U.S. expansion, international value fashion retail giant Primark plans to launch a new store in New Jersey this summer.

In addition to opening July 6 at The Mills at Jersey Gardens in Elizabeth, the brand expects to unveil locations in New York at Green Acres Mall in Long Island June 22 and Crossgates Mall in Albany July 20.

Combined, the latest U.S. locations will boast more than 33,000 square feet of retail selling space and feature Primark’s exclusive range of fashion and accessories as well as homewares.

The upcoming openings will bring Primark’s U.S. footprint to 20 locations, including its New Jersey stores at Freehold Raceway Mall in Freehold and American Dream in East Rutherford.

“The reception we’ve received as we’ve joined new communities in the U.S. has been overwhelmingly positive, with lines of new customers waiting to meet us, so our team is so excited about the lineup of new stores we have to open this summer,” said Kevin Tulip, president, Primark US.

“‘Primania’ is spreading from New York to New Jersey and beyond, and these three new stores will answer the demand we’ve had for our amazing fashion at amazing prices in new communities in both states,” he said.

Founded in 1969, Primark is known for its affordable everyday essentials and trendy apparel for women, men and children; beauty products; homewares; and accessories. Globally, it employs 72,000 associates across 425 stores.

Primark has been expanding rapidly across the U.S., with a goal to scale to 60 stores by 2026.

In advance of the openings in New Jersey and New York, Primark said it is looking to fill full- and part-time positions at the new stores.
