Residential leasing at Avenue & Green in Woodbridge is nearly complete, with the property from Nutley-based Prism Capital Partners recently passing the 95% mark.
The retail component at the luxury community is also filling out, with the April 25 announcement that Vito Mazza Salon & Spa — which has served the Woodbridge community for more than 55 years — will relocate to Avenue & Green with plans to open its doors at the property late in 2022.
Vito Mazza Salon & Spa’s lease covers 3,600 square feet and marks the third retail commitment at the property, joining LeGrand Coffee House and The UPS Store—both of which are slated to open this spring. The beauty parlor offers services including hair cuts and color, massages, manicures and pedicures, and make-up application. The new location will also offer a separate entrance for the salon’s Hair & Scalp Wellness offering, which assists men and women with addressing thinning hair and medical hair loss.
“Woodbridge is our home and a special community to us; we are focused on continuing to play a role in the downtown’s revitalization,” said the salon’s president, Vito Mazza Jr., who also serves as president of Woodbridge’s Special Improvement District. “Avenue & Green is the perfect spot for us to relocate, and Prism has been second to none in terms of their professionalism, quality development and commitment to Woodbridge’s revitalization.”
According to Prism, approximately two-thirds of Avenue & Green’s street-level retail options are spoken for, with negotiations ongoing for the remaining space.
“Vito Mazza Salon & Spa has been an integral part of downtown Woodbridge for decades and is widely known for its quality services and community focus,” said Prism Capital Partners Senior Vice President, Residential Robert Fourniadis. “We are thrilled to have them join LeGrand Coffee House — the first brick-and-mortar shop for another Woodbridge native, Eric LeGrand — and The UPS Store at Avenue & Green. All of these tenants provide sought-after services for our residents and the entire Woodbridge community.”
And Avenue & Green has proven it has insight into what residents are looking for, as renters are drawn to the new property for its transit-oriented location, adjacent to the Woodbridge train station, and amenitized living.
