Provident Bank promoted R. Christian Pfefferle to vice president and team leader for its Flemington commercial lending team, the bank announced Nov. 22.
Pfefferle is responsible for managing a team of relationship managers and lending specialists who work with small- to mid-sized companies in central New Jersey to grow the bank’s commercial loan portfolio by offering a variety of deposit and lending solutions.
By coaching and supporting his team, Provident Bank said he’ll help structure new and existing commercial loans, meeting with customers, reviewing term sheets, and supporting loan approvals. He’ll also continue to manage a loan portfolio and service the lending needs of clients in Hunterdon and Somerset counties.
“I am pleased to have Christian as part of our commercial lending leadership team. He possesses exceptional people skills, extensive knowledge of the market, expertise in lending, and a keen understanding of the credit needs of businesses. Christian will continue to support our efforts to grow the loan portfolio and strengthen our presence in the Central New Jersey market,” said Senior Vice President and Regional Director Mark Gueci.
In more than 25 years working in commercial lending, retail and relationship management, Pfefferle’s closed more than $250 million in transactions in Central Jersey. He was previously relationship manager, serving businesses in Hunterdon and Somerset counties.
