Prudential Annuities Expands Sales Management Team

Two new positions were created to increase focus on broker-dealer and other sales channels.Newark-based Prudential FinancialÂs (NYSE: PRU) annuity business, Prudential Annuities, has added two new national sales management positions to sharpen its focus on independent broker-dealer, wirehouse and bank channels.
National sales manager Rick Singmaster will take the reins as national sales director for the independent broker-dealer channel. Alex MacGillivrary was hired by the company as national sales director for the wirehouse and bank channels.
The new positions will oversee the sales teams for their respective channels. Singmaster and MacGillivrary will both report to Matthew Schiffman, executive vice president and head of sales for Prudential annuities. Prudential shares were down $0.42 to $73.48 in morning trading.
